Finding Gemstones | Guide to Gemstone Deposits in Nature

Since 1977, dozens of previously unrecorded gem and precious metal occurrences were identified in Wyoming & nearby regions, and include diamond, ruby, sapphire, pyrope garnet, chromian diopside, peridot, opal, kyanite, gold, agate, jasper, iolite, silver, PGM, nickel & others. These were found by geological mapping, remote sensing, geophysics, mineral associations, & geochemistry. Two world-class iolite deposits were also found, along with significant gold deposits and others.
